Did you know that we can use solar energy to power our entire homes and even run a whole car?! Or that the first solar car was created in 1955? Join the Midnight Sun Solar Car Team and learn about sustainability within engineering. Then, go behind-the-scenes and tour the workshop where competition solar race cars are built. Participants will also have the unique opportunity to apply their learning and build their very own model solar car to take home with them!

Location: University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario (Register to receive exact meeting location details)
Ages: This event is for girls and gender-diverse youth ages 7 to 16. This event will be divided into two groups (7-11 year olds and 12-16 year olds).
Registration Information: All youth attending must register using the link below. For non-CAGIS members, a guardian is required to stay for the event and must also register below. Participants who are CAGIS members are not required to have a parent/guardian stay for the event.
