Did you know there are statistics in bingo? Join us for this stats-tastic session and explore probability! Then, use your knowledge to stack the odds in your favour as you create your own bingo board and crack the bingo code!

Ages 7-11: 8 am PT • 9 am MT • 10 am CT • 11 am ET • 12 pm AT

Materials and Preparation
- Pencil or pen
- Scrap paper
- Bingo board (print out here)
- If you do not have access to a printer: Draw a large (fills page) 5X5 grid on a piece of paper – see bingo board for reference!
- Coin (“coin flip generator” on Google)
- Placeholders for bingo board (can use small pieces of paper, coins, board game pieces, etc)

Lavanya Perera Dharmasena, BSc/MBA
Lavanya is a Statistician and a researcher. She has worked in the industries of market research and the stock market, and is now continuing her graduate studies in Statistics at the University of Windsor, Ontario. She loves music, art and nature. She’s a Mother of two and believes supporting women in STEM will lead to a better tomorrow.
