Are you ready to rock?! Join us for this geo-tastic session where we explore the rock cycle and the natural forces that lead to the creation of rocks. Then, get your hands dirty with a geologist and model the creation of the three main rock types. Witness igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rock formation right in front of your eyes!
Time
Ages 7-12: 8 am PT • 9 am MT • 10 am CT • 11 am ET • 12 pm AT

Materials and Preparation
- 4 different coloured crayons – peel paper off before session
- Plastic or regular spoon (note: for shaving crayons)
- 2 medium-sized bowls
- 2 cups boiling water (parental assistance required)
- 2 cups cold water
- Aluminum foil
- Paper (1 piece)
- Pen or pencil
- Protection for your workspace: newspaper, trash bags, placemats
