Did you know that with every step you take, you’re standing on top of an entire ecosystem? Be a scientist for an afternoon and collect soil and tree samples with scientific tools, then work in the lab to explore soil biology and classification with researchers from the University of Saskatchewan’s Soil Science Department.

Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. If you wish, you can bring a jar of soil from home to explore in the lab!

Check-in: Please arrive at 1:00 pm for check-in.

Location: University of Saskatchewan (specific location details will be sent upon registration).

Ages: This event is for girls and gender-diverse youth ages 7 to 16. 

Registration Information: All youth attending must register using the link below. For non-CAGIS members, a guardian is required to stay for the event and must also register below. Participants who are CAGIS members are not required to have a parent/guardian stay for the event.
