Are you ready to take your gingerbread building skills to the next level? Put your construction hats on and build a gingerbread bridge with the CAGIS Construction Crew led by a Red Seal Welder and Union Ironworker! Explore bridge mechanics, metallurgy, welding procedures, and more. Will your bridge withstand traffic, or even an earthquake?!

Ages 7-11: 8 am PT • 9 am MT • 10 am CT • 11 am ET • 12 pm AT
Ages 11-17: 10 am PT • 11 am MT • 12 pm CT • 1 pm ET • 2 pm AT
Materials and Preparation
- Graham crackers – The kind that you can break into four pieces (we highly suggest this kind). Often found in the cookie aisle at the grocery store.
- Icing – Any type of icing will work, as long as it will stay on a spoon when held upside down. Found in the baking aisle at the grocery store.
- Suggested: Betty Crocker Icing that comes in a tub (whipped or creamy)
- Baking sheet (to build bridge on)
- Tin foil (to build bridge on)
- One of the following:
- Ziploc bag and scissors
- Piping bag and tips
- Optional: Candy for decorating!
