Did you know that Google Sheets can be used to code your own game!? It’s not just a spreadsheet; it’s actually a powerful tool that can do some pretty mind-blowing things! In this session, we will discover the untapped potential of Sheets. Join us to unleash your creativity and explore what this seemingly simple tool can really do—from creating ‘magic dice’ to crafting interactive adventures!

Materials and Preparation

You will need access to Google Sheets for this activity. If you do not have a Google account or an email that provides access to Google Drive, please create a Google account (it’s free) before the session.


Meet the Expert

Julee Minniti

Julee Minniti 

Julee is a recent Biotechnology graduate and current MBA candidate at McMaster University specializing in health services management. 

Prior to studying at McMaster, Julee attended a fine arts high school for a specialized dance program. Julee appreciates a creative approach to science and technology and attributes her unique approach to problem solving to her time studying in a performing arts program. Julee continued to be involved in arts as a member of McMaster’s Recreational Dance Team. As an undergraduate student, Julee shared her passion for advocating for underrepresented groups in STEM through her work as a VP Outreach with the McMaster Women in Engineering Society and a Co-Director of Venture Academy. Currently, Julee is an active member of the MBA community through her work as a student ambassador, the events director for the MBA student association, and the academic director for MBA Games. In her free time, Julee enjoys participating in case competitions, hiking, and volunteering. Julee is passionate about community engagement and is committed to giving back to the community that gave so much to her.
